Welcome Message ...

Hello and welcome to COPETOONS.COM!

My name is Mike Cope, and I'm a full-time freelance cartoonist and humorous illustrator from Stoney Creek (Ontario, Canada). My gag cartoons are frequently published in a variety of print and online media, including Reader's Digest Canada and Professionally Speaking magazines.

asIn 2008, I was hired to illustrate the educational comic, WebVoyagers, for The Canadian Reader, published by LesPlan Educational Services Ltd.

And since July 2010, I've been cartooning humorous illustrations for the Home Lab sections in both KNOW: The Science Magazine for Curious Kids and Yes Mag: The Science Magazine for Adventurous Minds.

Here at COPETOONS.COM, you can find samples of my work in my selected portfolio. I also invite you to visit my blog for some "behind the scene" looks, the latest news, and other FUN!

Along with doing all this fun stuff, I have a passion for teaching and strongly believe in lifelong learning! I'm a professionally trained educator (Communications Technology) and member of the Ontario College of Teachers. I currently teach evening animation courses to kids, tweens, and teens at Beamsville District Secondary School (DSBN). I also frequently facilitate cartoon workshops at local branches of The Hamilton Public Library and area schools.

Your questions and feedback are always welcome. Please feel free to use the information provided on my contact page.

Enjoy your visit and Stay TOONed!
