Meet the Characters:

	Sophie Baron is the hardworking editor-in-chief of her school’s student newspaper and a martial arts black belt champion. Sophisticated, confident, disciplined, though sometimes deceptive and misleading, she’ll break any good story … and every boy’s heart!
	Arturo C. Wordsmith is the young Sherlock Holmes of investigative journalism. His unrelenting quest for the truth uncovers facts with unparallel success, rightfully earning him the nickname “Ace.” Sharing a gift for communication and multiracial heritage with Barrack Obama, Arturo has a photo of the President on his iPod that he regularly consults. After this wonderful wizard of words wins the Pulitzer Prize, he plans to retire and write the Great American Novel.
	Giles Foster Baron is Sophie’s younger brother and spends most of his time drawing robots, aliens, and monsters (all very important subjects for an aspiring editorial cartoonist). Shy, goofy, and more than a little clumsy at sports, but give Giles a pencil and piece of paper, and his imagination will come to life … If only his sister would help build his confidence!
	Lucia Pettiti may be tiny, but this fast-flying paparazzo (a.k.a., “Mosquito”) is always armed with an arsenal of cameras. As her classmates will confess, you don’t know Lucia has shot you until it’s too late! Eccentric, hyperactive, and fearless, the only thing she changes faster than her batteries is her fashion tastes.
